v.Meku rFkk Andaman And 1. Short title and commencement: These rules may be called the A&N Islands Juvenile Justice (Care and Protection of Children) Rules, 2017 . They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette. Definitions: (1) In these rules, unless the context otherwise requires,-— (i) "Abandoned'' means an unaccompanied and deserted child who is declared abandoned by the Committee after due inquiry; (ii) "Act" means the Juvenile Justice (Care and Protection of Children) of Children Act, 2015 (2 of 2016); as amended by the Juvenile Justice (Care and Protection of Children) Amendment Act, 2016; (iii) "Authority" means the Central Adoption Resource Authority constituted under Section 68 of the Act; (iv) "Case Worker" means a representative from a registered voluntary or non-governmental organisation who shall accompany the child to the Board or the Committee and may perform such tasks as may be assigned to him by the Board or the Committee; (v) "Child Adoption Resource Information and Guidance System" means an online system for facilitating and monitoring the adoption programme; (vi) "Child Study Report" means the report which contains details about the child, such as his date of birth and social background; (vii) "Community service" means service rendered by children in conflict with law who are above the age of fourteen years and includes activities like maintaining a park, serving the elderly, helping at a local hospital or nursing home, serving disabled children, serving as traffic volunteers etc; = fudksckj jkti= Nicobar Gazette lR;e so t;r s k vlkÌkj.k EXTRAORDINARY i zkfÌdkj ls izdkfÓr r Published by Authority la -233 ] ik sVZ Cy s;j] 'k qØokj] 22 flrEcj] 2017 No. 233, Port Blair, Friday, September r 22, 2017 u v.Meku rFkk fu
