NOTIFICATION In exercise of the powers conferred hy suh-Section (l) of Section 228 of the Tripura Panchayats Act, 1993. the State Government hereby makes the following rules to amend the Tripura Pnnchayats (Constitution of State Panchayat Election Commission) Rules. 1993. namely :— 1. SHORT TITLE AND COMMENCEMENT: (I) These rules may be calied the Tripura Panchayats (Constitution of State Panchayat Election Commission) (First Amendment) Rules. 1995. (2) They shall comeinto force at once. 2. AMENDMENT OF_RULE 3: ‘ F‘ (1) In the Tripura Panchayats (Constitution or State Panchayat Elec- ' ‘ tion Commission) Rules, I993 (hereinafter referred to as the Principal Rules), for sub—nﬂe (3) of Rule 3, the following sub—Rule shall be substituted. namely :-— “ (3) the State Election Commissioner shall hold ofﬁce for a period not exceeding two years as may be specified in the Notification : frOm the date on which he enters upon his office”.
