BE it enacted by the Legislative Assembly of the State of Tamil Nadu in the Sixty eighth Year of the Republic of India as follows:- 1. This Act may be called the Tamil Nadu Marine Fishing Regulation (Amendment) Amendment Act, 2017 Short title and commence- ment Tamil Nadu Act 18 of 2017 2. In Section 1 of the Tamil Nadu Marine Fishing Regulation (Amendment) Act, 2016 (hereinafter referred to as the Amendment Act) for sub-Section (2), the following sub-Section shall be substituted, namely:- “(2) It shall come into force on such date as the State Government may, by notification, appoint and different dates may be appointed for different provisions of the Act.” Amendment of Section 1 3. In Section 5 of the Amendment Act, for clause (1), the following clause shall be substituted, namely:- “(1) In sub-Section (3), for the expression “three nautical miles” in three places where it occurs, the expression “five nautical miles” shall be substituted.” Amendment of Section 5 (By Order of the Governor) S.S. (Ms) No.118, Animal Husbandary, Dairying and Fisheries (FS4), 14th June 2018, itfhÁ 31, és«Ã, ÂUtŸSt® M©L-2049.] No. II (2)/AHDF/537/(c)/2018. In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-Section(2) of Section 1 of the Tamil Nadu Marine Fishing Regulation (Amendment) Act, 2016 (Tamil Nadu Act 18 of 2017), the Governor of Tamil Nadu hereby appoints the 14th day of June 2018, as the date on which clause (5) of Section 3 in so far as it relates to the definition of the term “mechanized fishing vessel” and clause (1) of Section 5 of the Act, as amended by the Tamil Nadu Marine Fishing Regulation (Amendment) Amendment Act, 2017 (Tamil Nadu Act 31 of 2017) shall come into force.
