The State Government shall have the following powers also, namely :— — U. P. ACT No. 9 OF 2002

47. The State Government shall have the following powers also, namely :— (a) to issue direction with respect to any matter required to be done by the University or under this Act or the rules, the Statutes or the Ordinances made thereunder ; and (b) to order framing of Statutes on any subject.
