Notwithstanding anything contained in the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973,—

8. Notwithstanding anything contained in the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973,— (a) all offences under this Act, shall be triable only by the Special Courts constituted for the area in which the offence has been committed or where there are more Special Courts than one for such area, by such one of them as may subject to any general or special order of the High Court be specified in this behalf by the Sessions Judge; (b) where the office of the Special Judge is vacant or a Special Judge is absent or unable to act, the Sessions Judge may subject to any general or special order of the High Court dispose of or make arrangements for the disposal by an Additional or Assistant Sessions Judge or if there be no Additional or Assistant Sessions Judge, by the Chief Judicial Magistrate, of any urgent application, which is or may be made or pending before such Special Judge every such Judge or Magistrate shall have jurisdiction to deal with any such application.
