THE SIKKI , M LEGISLATIVE ASSEMBLY MEMBERS (PAYMENT OF PENSION) RULES , I984. , In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-sections (I) and (2) of section 6 of the Sikkim Legislative Assembly Members (Payment of Pension) Act, I984 (4 of 198f), the State Government hereby makes the following rules, namely i.c.; Short title and Commencement . I . These rules may be called the Sikkim Legislative Assembly Members (Payment of pension) Rules , 1984 . . . They shall come into force with effect from J st October ,1984. Definitions . 2. (1 ) In these rules , unless the context otherwise requires jL; (a) " Act " means the Sikkim Legislative Assembly Members (Payment of Pension) Act , J 984 ; (b) ~ ' (c) (d) II "Member " means a member of the Si " kkim Legislative Assembly(~ . on~~ ~ ituted in the year 1979 _ ~n _ ~ t~erea~tePJ _ ~ . , i Annexure" means an Annexure appended to these rules; " Assembly" means the Sikkim Legislative Assembly as defined in clause (a) of-section 2 of the Act; , Words and expressions used in the Act and not defined in these rules shall have the meanings respectively assigned to them in the Act. 3· Any person who is entitled to pension under section 3 of th , e Act and who , desires to draw pension, shall apply to the Secretary , Sikkim Legislative Assembly, in "Pension Application Form" prescribed in Annexure 1 . , ' .
