MINISTRY OF HUMAN RESOURCE DEVELOPMENT (Department of Women& Child Development) NOTIFICATIONS S.O.99(E), dated New Delhi, the 31st January, 1992.-In exercise of powers conferred by sub-section (3) of section 1 of the National Commission for Women, Act, 1990 (20 of 1990), the Central Government hereby appoints the 31 st day of January, 1992, as the date on which the said Act shall come into force. S.O.100(E), dated New Delhi, the 31st January, 1992.-In pursuance of section 3 of the National Commission for Women Act, 1990 (2o of 1990), the Central Government hereby constitutes the National Commission for Women and nominates the following persons as the Chairperson and Members of the Commission, namely:- Ms. Jayanti Patnaik, Chairperson A-1, 310, Safdarjung Enclave, New Delhi. Ms. Padma Seth, Member EB-166, Maya Enclave, New Delhi-110 064 Ms. Ganga Potai, Member M.I.G. 54, M.L.A. Quarters, Jawahar Chowk, Bhopal. Ms. Subhashini Ali, Member 15/241, Civil Lines, Kanpur Ms. Bonoj Senapati, Member C-6/B, D.D.A. Flats, Munirka, New Delhi - 110 067 Ms. Monika Das, Member 13, Chanakyapuri Hubli, Karnataka. Ms. Uma Pillai, Member Secretary D-1/14, Bharati Nagar, New Delhi. The Chairperson and the Members shall hold office for a period of three years from the date of constitution of the Commission. Ms. Uma Pillai, Joint Secretary (Women Development) in the Department of Women and Child Development, shall, in addition to her substantive charge, old office of the Member-Secretary until further orders but not exceeding three years.
