Parent: The Gujarat Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and Other Backward Classes (Regulation of Issuance and Verification of Caste Certificates) Act, 2018

Gujarat No. GH/TD/10/AJP/112021/419/CH(p.f.)--- WHEREAS the Gujarat eduled Castes Scheduled T ib d O h cheduled Castes, GH/TD/10/AJP/112021/419/CH(p.f.) Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and Other j Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and Other Backward Classes icheduled Tribes (li Casses (Regulation of Issuance and Verification of Caste Certificates) Act, 2018 (Guj 19 of 2018) (h ift 2018 (Guj. 19 of 2018) (hereinafter referred to d as 'the said Act') has been enacted c) by the State of Gujarat for regulation of the Issuance and f th C j Verification of the Caste Certificates to the persons belonging to the Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes or Other Backward Classes; and Other Backward Classes (Regulation of Issuance and Verification of Caste ertificates) Act, 2018. AND WHEREAS the said Act has come into force on the 25th February, 2019; AND WHEREAS section 3 of the said Act inter alia, requires bli h the person belonging to the Scheduled Tribe to produce a Caste Certificate in order to seek admission into any educational institution under article 15 of the Constitution of India or claim the benefit of a any l reservation while y contesting for the elective post in any local authority; AND WHEREAS sub-section (2) of section 6 of the said Act provides for making an application, within such time, in such form and in such manner as may be prescribed, to the concerned Scrutiny f h CtCtifitd i y Committee for the verification of such Caste Certificate and issuance of a a validity certificate; AND WHEREAS the Gujarat State Election Commission has, declared the election of the local authorities vide it's Order No: 2/L&a/13(E)/1201E/S on the 22nd November, 2021; AND WHERE
