‍ 3 , , , 1943 & &‍ 25 , 2021 Bhadra 3, Wednesday, Saka 1943- August 25, 2021 4 () ‍(II) ‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍ ‍ Department of Consumer Affairs NOTIFICATION Jaipur, August 25, 2021 S.O.581 -In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) and clause (h) and (m) of sub -section (2) of section 102 of the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 (Central Act No. 35 of 2019), the State Government hereby makes the following rules, namely:- Short title and commencement. -(1) These rules may be called the Rajasthan Consumer Protection (Salary, Allowances and Conditions of Service of the President and Members of the State Commission and District Commission) Rules, 2021. They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette. Definitions. -(1) In these rules, unless the context otherwise requires,- (a) 'Act' means the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 (Central Act No. 35 of 2019); (b) 'Member' means a member of the District Commission or the State Commission, as the case may be; (c) 'President' means the President of the District Commission or the State Commission, as the case may be; and (d) ‘State Government’ means the Government of Rajasthan. Words and expressions used in these rules and not defined but defined in the Act shall have the same meaning respectively assigned to them in the Act. Salary and allowances payable to the President and members of the District Commission. -(1) The President of the District Commission shall be entitled to the following pay and allowances:- (a) if a serving District Judge is appointed as a President, he shall be entitled to such salary and allowances as are being drawn by him as the District Judge: Provided that if the serving District Judge is appointed as a President and he retires from service during his tenure as a President, h
