© Government of Haryana No. 31 -2017] CHANDIGARH, TUESDAY , AUGUST 1, 2017 (SRAVANA 9, 1939 SAKA) PART — I Notifications, Orders and Declarations by Haryana Government HARYANA GOVERNMENT SOCIAL JUSTICE AND EMPOWERMENT DEPARTMENT Notification The 21st July, 2017 No . 761 -SW(4) 2017 . — The Governor of Haryana is pleased to notify the Scheme "Operation of Maintenance and Appellate Tribunals for Senior Citizens under "Haryana Maintenance of Parents and Senior Citizens Rules, 2009" notified vide Notification No. SO.54/CA 56/2007/S.32/2009 dated 19.6.2009 under Sub -Section (1) read with Sub-section 2 of section 32 of the Maintenance and Welfare of Parents and Senior Citizen Act 2007 (Central Act 56 of 2007). These rules are applicable from 19.6.2009. The Haryana Maintenance of Parents and Senior Citizens Rules, 2009 mandate that there must be a Maintenance Tribunals (one official member and two non-official members) under the Chairmanship of each Sub -Divisional Magistrate. Similarly there must be Senior Citizens Appellate Tribunals under the Chairmanship of each District Magistrate within their respective jurisdictions with District Magistrate as official member and two nominated non -official members. The tenure/ duties of Non -Official members of both the Tribunals will be as per conditions laid down in the "Haryana Maintenance of Parents and Senior Citizens Rules, 2009". It is further provided under Section 3.5 of "Haryana Maintenance of Parents and Senior Citizens Rules, 2009" that the members of the tribunal shall be paid Travelling or Meeting allowance or Honorarium or remuneration as the State Govt. may decide from time to time, but this remuneration shall not be less than Rs. 500/- per sitting.
