GOVERNMENT OF PUNJAB DEPARTMENT OF LOCAL GOVERNMENT (Local Government 4 Branch) NOTIFICATION The 3rd March, 20716 No. 5/11/2075-Sig4/702470/1. — In exercise of the powers conferred by sub section (1) of section 38 of the Street Vendors (Protection of Livelihood and Regulation of Street Vending) Act, 2014 (Central Act No. 7 of 2014) and all other powers enabling him in this behalf, the Governor of Punjab, after consultation with the local authorities and the Town Vending Committees in the State of Punjab, is pleased to make the following scheme namely:- SCHEME Short title and commencement - (1) This scheme may be called "The Punjab Street Vendor s (Protection of Livelihood and Regulation of Street Vending) Scheme, 2016 It shall come into force on and with effect from the date of its publication in the Official Gazette, Definitions - (1) In this scheme, unless the context otherwise requires,- | Section ti _——— | fa} 'Act" means the Street Vendors (Protection of Livelihood and Regulation of street Vending) Act, 2014 ( Central Act no. 7 of 2014): (b) "festive market" means a market where sellers and buyers have traditionally congregated for the sale and purchase of products or services during festival season and has been determined as such by the local authority on the recommendations of the Town Vending Commitlée (c) "Form" means a Form specified in the Annexure appended to this scheme: (dq) 'Heritage Market' means a market which has completed more than fifty years in one place where sellers and buyers have traditionally congregated for the sale and purchase of products or services and has been determined as such by the local authority on the recommendations of the Town Vending Committee: (e) 'niche markef means a market where sellers.and buyers have traditionally congrega
