Rajasthan Reserved Forests (Exercise of Rights) Rules, 1960 Notification No. F15(197) Rev/A/58/1, dated 23.1.61 (Published in Rajasthan Gazette, Part 4C, dated 13.4.1961) In exercise of the powers conferred in clauses (c) & (d) of section 26 A read with clause (e) of section 15 of the Rajasthan Forest Act, 1953 (Act No.13 of 1053) the State Government is hereby to make Rules the following rules, namely: 1.Short title and commencement: (1) These rules shall be called the Rajasthan Reserved Forests (Exercise of Rights) Rules,1960 (2) They shall come into force at once: 2. Right of pasture: The right to pasture under sections (12) and (14) of the Act shall be subject to the following conditions, namely: (i) AIl plantations and felled coupes shall be closed for the exercise of this right until the Forest Officer declare them as open. Normally all felled coupes shall remain closed for a period of 10 years from the year following the year of felling; Provided that not more than one quarter of the area of any Forest Block shall remain closed: (ii) Grass-Reserves, usually known as Birs, Jors and Rundhs in which the right of pasture has been admitted, shall remain closed to grazing from 1st July to 31st October 3 Rights to Forest Produce- The Rights of forest produce under sections 12 and 14 shall be subject to the following conditions, namely: (i) No felling, lopping, extraction of leaves, bark and roots shall be carried out from 1st May to 31st October; except the specific permission, in writing of the Forest Officer; Provided that dead, dry fallen fuel wood may be bro in headloads for bonafied domestic needs: (ii) No grass shall be cut between 1st July and 30 th September except with permission in writing of the Forest Officer:
