Filling of vacancies — EMPLOYEES’ STATE INSURANCE ACT, 1948

14. Filling of vacancies (1) Vacancies in the office of 48 [appointed] or elected members of the Corporation, the Standing Committee and the Medical Benefit Council shall be filled by 50 [appointment] or election, as the case may be. (2) A member of the Corporation, the Standing Committee or the Medical Benefit Council 48 [appointed] or elected to fill a casual vacancy shall hold office only so long as the member in whose place he is 48 [appointed] or elected would have been entitled to hold office, if the vacancy had not occurred.
