In pursuance of the Guidelines issued by the Government of India, Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution, Department of Consumer Affairs vide G.S.R. 1013 (E), New Delhi; dated 26th October 2016, the Governor of Maharashtra, hereby, issues the following Guidelines for regulating the business of 'Direct Selling' and Multi-Level Marketing (MLM) and strengthen the existing regulatory mechanism on Direct Selling and Multi-Level Marketing (MLM) , in the State of Maharashtra for preventing fraud and protecting the legitimate rights and interests of consumers, namely Clause 1. : Definitions:-ZIn these Guidelines unless and otherwise required, 1 "Act" means the Consumer Protection Act; 1986 (68 of 1986) H1T WR-3-?8c-?
