J 873 (5 of 1 87 ^) fie ' Central Government hereby makes the following rules further to amend the Post Office Time Deposit Rules , 1981 , namely;-- 1.(1) These rules may be called the Post Office Time Deposit (Amendment) Rules , 1984 . They shall come into force on the date of lluir publication in the Official Gazette . 2 . In the . Post Office Time Deposit Rules , 1981 , in rule 9, — (a) in the opening portion , for the words "interest shall be allowed on the deposit" , the words "interest shall be allowed on the amount uur " ^hall be substituted; and (b) in clause (c) , for the words "repayment of deposit" . the words "repavnicnt of the amount due " shall be substituted .
