Short title and commencement.—(1) These rules may be called the Post Office Time Deposit (Amendment) Rules , J983 . They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette . 2 . In the Post Office Time Deposit Rules , 1081 , in rule 7 , for Table E and the Note thereunder , the following Tables and Note shall be substituted , namely:— TABLE E (For deposits made on or after the 1st April , 1982 but before the 1st March , 1983) TABLE F (For deposits made on or after the 1st March , 1983) Note : For deposits made on or after the 1st October , 1979 , interest will be payable at the rates specified in Table C or Table D or Table E or Table F , as the case may be , calculated at half-yearly rest.
