TAMIL NADU HAIR DRESSERS SOCIAL SECURITY AND WELFARE SCHEME 2006. 1 [No.II (2)/LE/515(d-6)/2008 In exercise of the powers conferred by Section 4 read with Section 3 of the Tamil Nadu Manual Workers (Regulation of Employment and Conditions of Work) Act, 1982 (Tamil Nadu Act 33 of 1982) and in supersession of the Labour and Employment Department Notification No.II2/LE/266(d-1)/2001, published at pages 1-17 of Part II Section 2 of the Tamil Nadu Government Gazette , Extraordinary, dated the 28 th February 2001, the Governor of Tamil Nadu, hereby makes the following Scheme for the scheduled employment under the said Act, in item 45: - THE SCHEME Short title, extent application and commencement:- (1) This Scheme may be called the Tamil Nadu Hair Dressers Social Security and Welfare Scheme 2006. It extends to the whole of the State of Tamil Nadu. It shall apply to all manual workers engaged in employment of hair dressing and beauty parlour. It shall come into force on the 1 ST September 2006. Definitions . -In this Scheme, unless the context otherwise requires:- (a) ―Act‖ means the Tamil Nadu Manual Workers (Regulation of Employment and Conditions of Work) Act, 1982 (Tamil Nadu Act 33 of 1982); (b) ―Board‖ means the Tamil Nadu Hair Dressers Welfare Board established under section 6 of the Act; (c) ―dependant‖ in relation to a registered manual worker means any of the relatives of such deceased workman as specified below:- (i) wife or husband, as the case may be; (ii) children; (iii) widow and children of the pre-deceased son; and (iv) Parents. _______________________________________________________________ *1vide the Tamil Nadu Government Gazette,Extraordinary Pt.II,Sec.2, issue No.328, dt.31 st October 2008. at p.142 (d) ―family‖ means- (i) in the case of a male member, his
