Collector ' s powers to authorise certain courts to entertain and dispose of applications . — The collector may, by order in writing, empower— (a) an assistant commissioner to entertain and decide applications, and to receive and dispose of cases submitted for confirmation of a decree or an order passed by a tahsildar, which a sub-divisional officer is empowered under this Act to entertain, decide, receive or dispose of; and (b) a naib-tahsildar of not less than three years standing, to entertain and dispose of such applications as a tahsildar is empowered under this Act to entertain and dispose of.
