1- The Goa Ferries Rules, 1990 Department of Inland Water Transport Notification 7/18/90-IWT-V In exereise of the powers conferred by seetion [0 read with section [4 of the Goa Ferries Act./990 Goa Act 9 of 1990). ihe Government of Goa hereby makes the following rules namely: 1, Short title; extent and commencement. These rules may be called the Goa Ferries Rules. 1990. (2 They shall extend to the whole of the State of Goa. (3) They shall come into force at once 2. Penalty for failure to pay toll, ete. Whoever fails to pay the toll or uses any publie ferry without paying the toll or obstructs any officer appointed o collect the toll in any Way in exereise of his duties under the Act shall be liable to pay penalty as specified in the Schedule below SCHEDULE Deseription Amount of penalty 1_ Each person Rs_ 10/ - Bieyele/Moped Rs_ 15/- Motorbikeltwo wheelers other than bicyeles and mopeds Rs. 20/ - Three wheelers ineluding scooter with side car Rs. 50/ - Four wheelers light vehieles e.g. Car: jeep Rs_ 1OO - Tempos. minibus and other light medium 4/6 wheelers (including jeep with trallers) Rs_ 200/ - Heavy Vehieles e.g Trueks. buses Rs. 500/ - Cargo in vehieles Rs. 200/ - 2. 3_ 4. 5. 6. 7 . 8_ By order and in the name of the Governor of Goa.
