GOVERNMENT OF WEST BENGAL LEGISLATIVE DEPARTMENT West Bengal Act XXX of 1979 THE WEST BENGAL BHUDAN YAGNA (REPEALING) ACT, 1979. [Passed by the West Bengal Legislature: [Assent of the Governor was first published in the Calcutta Gazette, Extraordinary of the I8th October, 1979.] [I8th October, 1979.] An Act to repeal the West Bengal Bhudan Yagna Act, 1962 and to provide for certain matters incidental thereto. WHEREAS itis expedient to repeal the West Bengal Bhudan Yagna_ Act; West Ben; Act XVIII of 1962 and t0 provide for certain matters incidental thereto; 1962. Itis hereby enacted in the Thirtieth Year of the Republic of India, by the Legislature of West Bengal, as follows: 1. (1) This Act may be called the West Bengal Bhudan Yagna Short title and (Repealing) Act, 1979. commence - ment_ (2) It shall come into force on such date as the State Government may, by notification in the Official Gazette, appoint: 2. In this Act; Unless the context otherwise requires, Definitions_ (a) "appointed day" means the date appointed under sub- section (2) of section 1; (b) "Board" means . the West Bengal Bhudan Yagna Board established under section 3 of the West Bengal Bhudan Yagna Act, 1962; (c) "find" means the West Bengal Bhudan Yagna Fund referred to in sub-section (2) of section 4 of the West Bengal Bhudan Yagna Act; 1962. 3.
