Without prejud1ce to the other provision of this Act and notwrth standmg d.ny:hing contained m any other law for the time being in forcet uncle/ which any local body is constituted, the Government may g1ve to any local body such d1rections as m ib opinion may be necessary or expedrent tor enabling the Authority to perform its functions under this Act and th"I eupon it ~hall be the duty of the local body to comply w1th such directions.
