I ' G.S.R.-3 In exercise of the powers confoJTed by sub seetion ( 1) of Section 12 of the Rajasth~m State Road Development Fund Act, 2004 (A'ct No. 13 of 2004 ). the State Government hereby makes the following rules further to c.\mcnd the Rajasthan State R.!lad. De.v~·icpti~\.:iit f ut.l.~ - , ~u.t·c.:s, 2-GG·4. t. ·sh.ort title. and co.mrnencomcnt: 2. 3. {I)· These ru(cs m-~Y be called the Rajasthan State Road Qcvelopmcnt Fund {Amendment) Rules, ;wos. (2) These shall come into force from the date of their publ.lcation in the Official Gazette . . ;\a:n.~ndmc~t .of rul.c 2: . After the existing clause (a) of sub Rule ( l) of Rule 2 of tl~e . Rajasthan Stat6 Road Devcloprner-H Ful1d . Rµles, 1004, hereinafter reforre<l to as the said rules~ foHo\ving new clau_ses (aa) and (aaa-) .~haB be added; namely:- "(aa) . "Board" means State Road D<.:vclopmcnt Fund Management Board. (aaa) "Pi·oject" means proposals for"Development of any ·State Road". Amendment of-Rule 3: In ~-ulcJ ol'the said rules; . (i) the existing_ heading "Point of Tax" shall be substituted by the heading "Po·int of Ccss". (I) For the management of the State Road Development Fund, a State Road Development Management Board shall be constituted.by the St-ate Government under sub Section (2) of Section 9 of the Act. (2) At least fifty percent memb.ers oLthe Board, excluding the Chairperson, shall be representatives of tlK State Government, and sl!ch members shall not be below the rank of Secretary to Government and shall function in an ex-officio capacity. (3) The remaining members -shall be _ individuals of e1nir1cnce . draw:a from the various road user groups ·including · the .. · ·automobile/transport industry, _ representative . 6 ftruck operators association; financial · institutions/business community, professional badies and aca:demic and rescrarch institutions, representative of insurance corripariies, representative of NGO and · they shall be no'minatcd by the S~ate Government. (4) The Board shall consist a·t any time of not less than 9 and not more than i 5 mcrnbcrs, including the Chairperson . . (5) Members of the Board, other than the ex-officio ·members, shall hold office for ·three years.
