37. Procedure for making Ordinances:
All Ordinances made under this Act shall have effect from such date as the Syndicate may direct, but every Ordinance so made and the repeal of any Ordinance shall be laid before the senate during its next succeeding meeting.
Ifany Ordinance or repeal of an Ordinance is not laid before the Senate as required by subsection (1), the Ordinance shall lapse or, as the case may be, the Ordinance repealed shall revive, after the next succeeding meeting of the Senate.
Subject to the provisions of subsection (1) and (2), the procedure to be followed in making, amending or repealing Ordinances shall be prescribed by the Statutes.
No Ordinance involving expenditure shall be valid or come into force until assented to by the chancellor.
