40. Rules, bye-laws and orders:
The Syndicate shall have power to make rules, bye-laws and orders not inconsistent with the provisions of this Act, the Statutes, the Ordinances and the Regulations, for the guidance and working of Boards and committees and other bodies constituted under the provisions of this Act or the Statutes or the Ordinances or the Regulations and for regulating the procedure and conduct of business at meetings of any authority of the University other than the Senate.
Allsuchrules, bye-laws and orders shall have effect from such date as the syndicate may direct, but every such rules, bye-law or order shall be submitted to the Senate during its next succeeding meeting.
The senate shall have power to cancel or modify any such rule, bye-law or order.
