The Statutes: - Subject to the provisions of this Act, the Statutes may provide for all or any of the following matters, namely:-

34. The Statutes: - Subject to the provisions of this Act, the Statutes may provide for all or any of the following matters, namely:- (a) the powers and duties of the officers of the University, not specifically provided for in this Act; (b) the constitution, power and duties of the authorities of the University, not specifically provided for in this Act; (c) the procedure for election of members of the Senate, the Syndicate, the Academic Council and other authorities of the University and all such other matters relating to these bodies, as may be necessary or desirable to provide; (d) award of degrees, diplomas, titles, certificates and other academic distinctions by the University; (e) the withdrawal or cancellation of degrees, diplomas, titles, certificates and other academic distinctions; (f) the maintenance of a register of registered graduates; (g) the holding of convocations to confer degrees; (h) the conditions and procedure for affiliation of colleges; (i) conferment of honorary degrees; GQ) the maintenance of the accounts and the preparation and passing of the annual budget of the University; (k) all other matters which by this Act are to be, or may be, prescribed by Statutes.
