HIGHER AND TECHNICAL EDUCATION DEPARTMENT Madam Cama Marg, Hutatma Rajguru Chowk, Mantralaya, Mumbai 400 032, dated the 10th October 2018 NOTIFICATION MAHARASHTRA PUBLIC UNIVERSITIES ACT, 2016. No. Parini-2018/C.R. 82/Vishi-2.—In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (10) of section 72, read with clause (a) sub-section (2) of section 23 of the Maharashtra Public Universities Act, 2016 (Mah. Act. No. VI of 2017), the Government of Maharashtra hereby, prescribes the following Uniform Statute relating to emoluments, tenure and terms and conditions of service of the Director of Students' Development, namely :— UNIFORM STATUTE NO. 1 OF 2018. Short title.—This Statute may be called the Maharashtra Public Universities (Emoluments, Tenure and Terms and Conditions of Service of the Director of Students' Development) Uniform Statute, 2018. Procedure for Nomination.—The Vice-Chancellor shall invite applications from the eligible aspiring candidates and shall nominate a suitable person as the Director of Students' Development from amongst them for a tenure of 3 years, which may be Renewed for one more term.The parent college or parent recognized institution or the parent university, in such case, shall be eligible to appoint the substitute person during the deputation period as per the prevailing norms. Emoluments.—The person nominated as the Director of Students' Development shall be entitled to receive the parent college or parent recognized institution or the parent university the same emolument and pay-scale which he was drawing in his previous service on the date of nomination as the Director of Students' Development. Age.—Age of the candidate aspiring the nomination to the post of Director of Students' Development at the time of nomination shall not be more than 50
