LAW AND JUDICIARY DEPARTMENT Madam Cama Marg, Hutatma Rajguru Chowk, Mantralaya, Mumbai 400 032, dated the 1st April 2017 NOTIFICATION CODE OF CRIMINAL PROCEDURE, 1973. No. CRC. 2517/C.R. 79/Desk XII.— In exercise of the powers conferred by section 7 read with section 9 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973 (2 of 1974), in its application to the State of Maharashtra, and of all other powers enabling it in this behalf ; and in partial modification of all earlier notifications issued in this behalf, in so far as they relate to the revenue Tahsils of Hinganghat and Samudrapur in the Wardha District, the Government of Maharashtra, after consultation with the High Court of Judicature at Bombay, hereby creates, with effect from the 3rd April, 2017, a sessions division for the revenue Tahsils of Hinganghat and Samudrapur in Wardha District and establishes a Court of Sessions at Hinganghat, to be presided over by the Additional Sessions Judge, for trial of cases arising within the limits of the said sessions division. The Principal Sessions Judge, Wardha shall also be the Sessions Judge for the Hinganghat sessions division and shall have the powers to withdraw unto himself or to assign unto the Assistant or Additional Sessions Judge at Hinganghat, any such cases as he think fit.
