[Passed by the West Bengal Legislature.] [Assent of the President of India was first published in the Kolkata Gazette, Extraordinary, of the 29th May, 2008.] An Act to amend the West Bengal Municipal Corporation Bill, 2006. WHEREAS it is expedient to amend the West Bengal Municipal Corporation Bill, 2006, for the purposes and in the manner hereinafter appearing; It is hereby enacted in the Fifty-eighth Year of the Republic of India, by the Legislature of West Bengal, as follows :- (1) This Act may be called the West Bengal Municipal Corporation ( Amendment) Act, 2007. It shall come into force on such date as the State Government may, by notification in the Official Gazette, appoint. Clause 314 of the West Bengal Municipal Corporation Bill, 2006 (hereinafter referred to as the principal Bill), shall be omitted. In clause 325 ofthe principal Bill, the words and figures "or section 328, as the case may be" shall be omitted. For clause 326 ofthe principal Bill, the following clause shall be substituted :— "Information about births and deaths. 326.
