The Gazette of India EXTRAORDINARY PART II—Section 3—Sub-section (ii) PUBLISHED BY AUTHORITY No . 623 ] NEW DELHI , MONDAY , SEPTEMBER 25,2000/ASVINA 3,1922 MINISTRY OF SOCIAL JUSTICE AND EMPOWERMENT NOTIFICATION New Delhi , the 22nd September , 2000 S.O . 880(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by Section 3(4) of the National Trust for Welfare of Persons with Autism , Cerebral Palsy , Mental Retardation and Multiple Disabilities Act , 1999 , it has been decided that Secretary . Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment will act as ex-officio Chairperson of the National Trust till a full time Chairperson is appointed by the Central Government . [F . The general superintendence , direction and management of the affairs and business of the Trust shall vest in Board which may exercise all powers and do all acts and things which may be exercised or done by the Trust . 4 . The Board may associate with itself, f, in such manner and for such purpose as may be determined by regulations , any person whose assistance or advice it may desire for carrying out the objects of the Trust . Such persons shall have a right to take part in the discussions [PART II—SEC . 3(ii)] relevant to that purpose but shall not have a right to vote at a meeting of the Board and shall not be member for any other purpose . Further that the maximum number of persons so associated shall not exceed eight an d so far as possible the persons so associated shall belong to the registered organisations or from the professionals .
