Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) (Madhya Pradesh) Rules 1975 Bhopal, the &th December 1975 No. 3816:-XXXIIL - In exercise of the powers conferred by section 64 of the Water (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act; 1974 (No.6 of 1974), the 'State Government; after consuitation with the State Board for the Preven tion and Control of Water Pollution, hereby makes the following rules, namely: - CHAPTER [ - PRELIMINARY 1. Short title and commencement (1) These rules may be called the Water (Prevention and Control of Madhya Pradesh Pollution) Rules, 1975. (2) They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the "Madhya Pradesh Gazette 2 Definitions - In these rules, unless the context otherwise requires, "Act" means the Water (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act; 1974 (No. ,6 of 1974); "Chairman means the Chairman of the State Board; "State Board Laboratory means a laboratory established or recognised as such under sub-section (2) of Section 17; "State Water Laboratory means a laboratory established or specified as such under sub-section (1) of Section 52; "Form" means a form set out in Schedule I; "Member" means a member of the State Board and includes the Chairman thereof; "Member-Secretary means the Member-Secretary of the State Board; "Section means a section of the Act; "Schedule" means a schedule appended to these rules; "Year means the financial year commencing on the first day of April. CHAPTER II - TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF SERVICE OF THE MEMBERS OF THE STATE BOARD AND OF COMMITTEES OF STATE BOARD 3.
