(i) These rules may be (l called the India Meteorological ) i Department (A y (Class d I and Class 11 g Posts) Recruitp( ment (Amendment Rules , 1976 . (ii) They shall come into force iihOffiil G on the date of Ihcir publiy cation in the Official Gazette . 2 . In the India Meteorological iRl Department 1969l (Class 7 id I and Class II posts) Recruitment bd l6 g Rules , p 1969 , i rules ( 7 ;ind d bf 8 shall p) be renumbered as rules 6 , , and 9 respectively fllil ; and before rule 8 as so renumbered , the p following rule y shall be inserted , namely : "7 . Liability Lo iih serve in the Defence Services for new y recruits with Engineering Degrees—• Any person with a Degree d in Engineering fhd , appointed bli to any of the if h g said posts li on or ggpp afterthe date of publi- il hlli y cation of these p rules in the official Gazette p shall , if so required , lie liable to s-srvc in any Defence Servce 150 Gl/75—7 . or post id connected with the defence of India , for a p period id of not less than four years including the p period , if nny , y spent on training : Provided that such person (a) shall not be required to serve us aforesaid after the expiry of ten years from the date of Appointment; (b) Shall not ordinarily be required to serve as nforesaid after . attaining the age of forty years" [No , A . 1201&/2/73-M1 F .
