Be it enacted by the Rajasthan State Legislature in the Sixty-fifth Year of the Republic of India, as follows:- Short title, extent and commencement.- (1) This Act may be called the Code of Criminal Procedure (Rajasthan Amendment) Act, 2014. It extends to the whole of the State of Rajasthan. It shall come into force on such date as the State Government may, by notification in the Official Gazette, appoint. Amendment of section 29, Central Act No. 2 of 1974.- In the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973 (Central Act No. 2 of 1974), in sub-section (2) of section 29, in its application to the State of Rajasthan, for the existing expression "ten thousand rupees", the expression "fifty thousand rupees" shall be substituted.
