ASSAM ACT XII OF 1936
THE ASSAM MUNICIPAL (AMENDMENT) ACT, 1936 .

An Act furthtr to amend the Assam Municipal Act,
1923.
Whereas it is expedient further to amend the Assam Municipal Act, 1923 ;
It is hereby enacted as follows:
This Act may be called the Assam Municipal (Amendment) Act, 1936.
It shall come into force on such date as the Local Government may, by notification m the Assam GQ{.ette, appoint in this behalf.
It shaH apply to the whole of Assam.
Amendment 4. In section 83(1) of the Assam Municipal of section 83. Act, 1923, after the words " The tax mentioned in section 59, sub-section (1)(a)," the following shall be iuserted, namely, "(c) and (e)."
In section 83(2) of the Assam Municipal Act, the word " aforesaid " shall be omitted and after the word " tax " the w0rds " mentioned in section 59, sub-section (l)(a)" shall be inserted.
