1 Repealed by Act 27 of 1978. Short title and extent . -(1) This Act may be called the Maintenance of Internal Security Act, 1971. It extends to the whole India [* * *]: 1 [Provided that every person in respect of whom an order of detention made under the Jammu and Kashmir Preventive Detention Act, 1964 (J&K Act XIII of 1964), is in force immediately before the commencement of the 2[Defence and Internal Security of India Act, 1971], shall continue to be governed by the provisions of that Act in respect of such detention as if this Act had not been extended to the State of Jammu Kashmir.]
