J , Whereas it is expedient to amend the Assam President Act Preventive Detention Act; 1980, hereinafter No: 5 of 1980 referred to as the principal Act; in the manner hereinafter appearing; 6 . It is hereby enacted in the Sixtieth Year of the Republic of India as follows
