(1) The Director of Research shall be appointed by the Board on the recommendation of a Selection Committee constituted for the purpose and he shall be a whole-time salaried officer of the University.

(1) The Director of Research shall be appointed by the Board on the recommendation of a Selection Committee constituted for the purpose and he shall be a whole-time salaried officer of the University. (2) The Director of Research shall hold office for a term of five years and shall be eligible for reappointment: Provided that the Director of Research on attaining the age of sixty years shall cease to hold office as such.
