H-ealth care establishments in rural areas cen opt for deep burial of clinical wasles but precautions shall be taken such that the pits dug for the purpose are far away from the ground water sDuirce and the (inimur} depth shall be 5 feet. In urban areas the clinical wastes shall be incinerated, the option of deep burial does not apply to Ihe health care establlshments In these areas, 06. All clinical specirnen after carrying OUl necessary lests shall be dieposed off in 4 discarding jar containing suilable disinfectant A jar half' filled .with sodlum hypochlorite of 1 % strength shall be kept at every such point of disposal. 'The body fluids to be discarded shall be dropped into disinfectant solution and after 6 hours_ contents ol the Jar shall be discharged through the sinkk. The jar shall be disinfecled with carbolic acid before reuse 07.
