Section 6
The Bill also provides for the establishment of a Broadcasting Council, consisting of a President and ten other Members appointed by the President of India. This Council will ensure that the citizen's right to he informed freely, truthfully and objectively is fully protected and that the Corporation does not stray from the objective of ensuring adequate coverage to the country's diverse culture, and of catering to the various sections of society. This Council will consider complaints about programmes broadcast by the Corporation in this context and render suitable advice to the Board of Governors.
