No' 76/2004/F'No. F(Ty21l09'- tn exercise of the powers conferred by section 41 and 42 of the y 42 tndian Forest Act (16 of 1927), read with the Governrnent of lndia, Minlstry of Home hltifiti Affalrs, hlotification No' 69149/50-AN dated 07.11,195f , the Lieutenant Governor of Andanran and Nicobar lslands is pleased to make the following amendments to the Andaman anrJ Nicoabar Islands Forest F Produce Transit Rules, 1966 notifled in Andaman and l{icobar Gazette (Extraordinary) N 7/65ltM/66A/l vide No. 7/65lrtM/66A/ol.v dated 1 7.01.1966 as amended till date, namely :_ t. Lhont title.and comrne_ncernent : (i) These Rules may be called the Andaman and Nicobar lslands Forest produce l'ransit (Anrendment) Rules, 201 S. (ii) These Rules shall come into effect from the date of its publication in the Gazette. 2' sub-Rule (7) of the Rule 4 of the Andaman and Nicoabar lslands Forest produce Transit Rules, ii * 1966 (hereinafter cafied principar Rures) substituted as berow * "Transit Pass shall be issued on working days during working hours except at the wharfs/ports or p other areas in exigency as deemed expedient by the Divisional Forest officer in public inte,-est only after the timber, in round or sawn form, is impressed with the registered property mark of the shipper and the government hammer mark as provided under rure g(3),,. 3' Sub-Rule (b) of Rule I (C) of the Principal Rutes shall be substituted as under - 'A property hammer mark for the furniture mart
