In exercise of the powers conferred by Section 41 of the Indian Forest Act (16 of 1927) read with the Government of India, Ministry of Home Affair' $ Notification No. 69/49/50 AN dated 07.11.1951, the Hon'ble Lt Governor; Andaman and Nicobar Islands is pleased to further amend the Andaman and Nicobar Islands Forest Transit Rules, 1966. 1_ SHORT TTTLE AND COMMENCEMENT: a) These Rules may be called Andaman Nicobar Islands Forest Produce Transit (Amendment) Rules, 2007. 6) These Rules shall come into force with effect from the date of publication in the official gazette. 2. AMENDMENTS: After Sub Rule (4) of Rule 7 of the Andaman & Nicobar Islands Forest Transit Ruies, 1966 the following shall be inserted as Sub Rule (5}: "For movement of sawn timber from Govt. Saw Mills, the Gate Pass issved for the purpose by the Govt; Saw Mills may be treated as Transit Pass within the Andaman & Nicobor Islands for the purpose of these Rules By order and in the name of the Lt: Governor Sd/- (S.S.
