APPENDIX - XV REVENUE DEPARTMENT (FOREST) Notification No. 1122-Ft-58/1195 The 3rd May, 1958 In supersession of Punjab Government Notification 1_ No. 260 Ft; dated the 8th Feb, 1945. 2 No. 5002-D 51/6264,dated the 15th November; 1951. 3 No. 563-Ft-54/458,dated the 3rd March, 1955, and 4_ No. 3384-Ft-55/2134 dated, the 19mh August; 1995. 5 No. S.O. 44/ CA. 16/27/S. 29/72 dated, the 6th March, 1972. 6_ No. S.O. 97/C.A. 16/27/S. 29/77 dated, the 15th July, 1977. 7_ No. S.O. 215/CA. 16/27/S. 29/89 dated, the 22nd December; 1989. 8 No. S.0. 47/CA. 1927/S. 29/98 dated, the 1 May, 1998. and in exercise of the powers conferred by Section 29 of the Indian Forest Act; 1927, and all other powers enabling him in this behalf; the Governor of Punjab is pleased to declare the strip of Govt. forest or waste lands whether under tree growth or not on either side of all roads, canals and railways in the State of Punjab except those in the Patiala Division described in the following Schedule to be protected forests and the provisions of chapter IV and Section 68 of the said act to be applicable to them: Schedule Name of Strip Roads Description and Situation All P.WD (Building & Roads) roadside strips and also other P.W.D. lands in Punjab State transferred to the Forest Department for management: All land of either side of P.WD. (I.B.) canals and canal roads including main canals, branches, distributaries, minors, escapes and bunds and also other land of that department transferred to the forest department for Canals management The land along the railway tracks and station yards on the Northern Railway transferred to the forest department for management Railways 232 Notification No. 1122-Ft-58/1195 Whereas by Punjab Government Notification No. 1122-Ft-58/1195, date the 3rd May, 1958, all st
