ANNEXURE VII Detailed notifications are available in Division Office, Excerpts are being reproduced for ready reference FOREST DEPARTMENT NOTIFICATION The 31 st December; 1957 No. 6058-Ft-III-57/3305- In exercise of the powers conferred by section 29 of the Patiala Forest Act; 1999 (No. VII of 1999 BK ) and all other powers enabling him in this behalf; the Governor of Punjab is pleased to declare the strips of Government waste lands demarcated by boundary, pillars; whether under tree growth or not; on either side of all roads under the charge of Public Works Department (Buildings and Road) in Patiala Civil Division (erstwhile Pepsu State) to be Second Class Forests and the provisions of Chapter V and section 68 of the said Act to be applicable to them: No. 6058-Ft-III-57/3306- Whereas by Punjab Government; Forest Department; notification No. 6058-Ft-III-57/3305, dated the 31st December , 1957 _ all strips of Government waste lands demarcated by boundary pillars whether under tree growth or not; on either side of all roads under the charge of Public Works Deparment (Buildings & Roads) in Patiala Civil Division (erstwhile Pepsu State) have been declared as second class forests under section 29 of the Patiala Forest Act; 1999 (No. VII of 1999 B.K). Now; therefore, the Governor of Punjab, in exercise of the powers conferred by section 30 of said Act; is pleased; (a) to declare all trees standing upon these lands to be reserved from the date of publication of this notification in the official Gazette;and b to prohibit; from the same date, the quarrying of stone or the burning of lime or charcoal or the collection or subjection to any manufacturing process or removal of any forest produce in any such forest and the breaking up or clearing for cultivation, for building for her
