BB it macted by the Legislature of the State of Tamil i y g Nadu in the Thirtieth Year of th,e Republic of India as follows :- (1) This Act may be called the Madras City Tenants' Short title and The provisions of this Act, except sections 9 In the long title of, and In section 1 of the principal Act,- Tamil (i) for sub-section (2), the following sub-section shall kt be substituted, namely :- " (2) (a) It extends to,- (i) the City of Madras ; (ii) the townships of Kodaikanal, Avadi, Kathiwakkam, Ambattur , d , M Madhavaram, Bhvani sagar, Court. , allam and Mettur. * For Statement of Objects and Reasons. see Tam ii Nadu j Government Gazette Extraordinary, dated the 29 t h October 1979, P 1VSti1385386 y, Part 1V-Section 1, pages 385-386.
