THE GAZETTE OF INDIA EXTRAORDINARY PART – III – SECTION 4 PUBLISHED BY AUTHORITY NEW DELHI, SEPTEMBER 23, 2011 SECURITIES AND EXCHANGE BOARD OF INDIA NOTIFICATION Mumbai, 23 rd September, 2011 SECURITIES AND EXCHANGE BOARD OF INDIA (SUBSTANTIAL ACQUISITION OF SHARES AND TAKEOVERS) REGULATIONS, 2011 No. LAD-NRO/GN/2011-12/24/30181.—In exercise of the powers conferred under section 30 read with clause (h) of sub-section (2) of section 11 of the Securities and Exchange Board of India Act, 1992 (15 of 1992) the Securities and Exchange Board of India hereby, makes the following regulations, namely: — CHAPTER - I PRELIMINARY Short title, commencement and applicability. (1) These regulations may be called the Securities and Exchange Board of India (Substantial Acquisition of Shares and Takeovers) Regulations, 2011. These regulations shall come into force on the thirtieth day from the date of their publication in the Official Gazette.
