MINISTRY OF COMMUNICATIONS AND INFORMA TION TECHNOLOGY (Department of Information Technology) NOTIFICATION New Delhi, the 16uh March, 2012 G.S.R: 153(E).-In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (2) of section 79 of the Information Technology Act; 2000 (21 of 2000) read with sub-rule(4) of rule 3 of the Information Technology (Guidelines for Cyber Cafe) Rules, 2011,the Central Government hereby specifies the process of registration to be followed by each Registration Agency as follows 1_ The Cyber cafe shall; for its registration; submit the duly filled in form as specified in Schedule-| annexed; to the Registration Agency notified by the Appropriate Government: 2. The Registration Agency shall, after verifying the completeness of the form, register the cyber cafe with a unique registration number. The registration number shall be an alphnumeric code of eight characters with first two characters as the State or Union Territory code as specified in Schedule-Il annexed and next six digits as running serial number. For instance, a cyber cafe registered in Maharashtra may have registration number as MHO001234. 3 The list of cyber cafe alongwith its address and registration number shall be displayed on the website of the Registration Agency.
