The State Government may remove from the membership a member who in its opinion has so abused his position as such member as to render his continuance on the Board detrimental to the public interest :

7. The State Government may remove from the membership a member who in its opinion has so abused his position as such member as to render his continuance on the Board detrimental to the public interest : Provided that the State Government shall, before removing a member as aforesaid, give him an opportunity of explanation and shall place on record the reasons for his removal.
