2. Subs. by sec. 4 of U. P. Act no. 4 of 1972. [The Uttar Pradesh Home Guards Adhiniyam, 1963] (2) No prosecution shall be instituted against a home guard in respect of anything done or purporting to be done by him in the discharge of his duty as a home guard, except with the previous sanction of the District Magistrate having jurisdiction over the area in which the home guard was enrolled or in which the act was committed.
