Maintenance and admission to privileges of Colleges . — (1) The Central Hindu College, 1 [Banaras], shall, from such 2 date as the Central Government may, by notification in the Official Gazette, appoint in this behalf, be deemed to be a College maintained by the University, and the University may found and maintain other colleges and 3 [institutions including High Schools, within a radius of fifteen miles from the main temple of the University] for the purpose of carrying out instruction and research.
