XIII, Naharlagun , Tuesday, June 1 , 2004 Jyaistha 11 , 1926 (Saka) GOVERNMENT OF ARUNACHAL PRADESH OFFICE OF THE COMMISSIONER EXCISE AND NARCOTICS ITANAGAR NOTIFICATION The 12th May, 2004 No. EX-40/98 . -ln exercise of the powers conferred by Section-77 of the Arunachal Pradesh Excise Act, 1993 (Act NO.6 of 1993), the Governor of Arunachal Pradesh is pleased to make the following rules further to amend the Arunachal Pradesh Excise Rules, 1994, namely :- (i) These rules may be called the Arunachal Pradesh Excise (Amendment) Rules, 2004. (ii) They shall come into force from the date of their publication in the Official Gazette . 2 . Insertion of new sub-rule under Rule-245: In the Arunachal Pradesh Excise Rules, 1994 (the principal rules), after sub-rule (2) under Rule-245 , the following sub-rule shall be inserted namely:- " (3) In the event of default in renewal of brand name and label before the expiry of the validity period , a penalty of Rs . 15,000 . 00 (Rupees fifteen thousand) only shall be imposed.
