West Ben. Act VIII of 1975. GOVERNMENT OF WEST BENGAL LAW DEPARTMENT Legislative West Bengal Act XIX of 1990 THE WEST BENGAL COUNCIL OF HIGHER SECONDARY EDUCATION (AMENDMENT) ACT, 1990. [Passed by the West Bengal Legislature.] [Assent of the Governor was first published in the Calcutta Gazette, Extraordinary, of the 12th October, 1990.] [12th October, 1990.] An Act to amend the West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education Act, 1975. WHEREAS it is expedient to amend the West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education Act, 1975, for the purposes and in the manner hereinafter appearing; It is hereby enacted in the Forty-first Year of the Republic of India, by the Legislature of West Bengal, as follows:- This Act may be called the West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education (Amendment) Act, 1990. In sub-section (1) of section 4 of the West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education Act, 1975 (hereinafter referred to as the principal Act),— after clause (0, the following clause shall be inserted:— (1) "(fl) the Director, State Council of Educational Research and Training, West Bengal, ex officio;'; in clause (g), in sub-clause (3), for the words "Viswa Vidyalaya;", the word "Viswavidyalaya" shall be substituted and shall be deemed to have been substituted with effect from the 20th day of July, 1981.
